THE North AmericaN Medical Orchestra
The primary goal of the North American Medical Orchestra (NAMO) is to bring professional physicians and medical practitioners under one baton to play for human life, seeing them donate their time with other medical practitioners around the world by doing medical camps and partnering with developing countries along with charity music performance.
We also bring great musical experience to the physically challenged and those with financial constraints, and we bridge the geographic distance through joint performances as NAMO members, most of whom are medical professionals such as doctors, professors, researchers and medical students, generously share their time, talent, love, and passion for music with other parts of the world.
Based in New York City, our plans are to expand our musical performance into developing countries. Our musicians will also have the opportunity to see patients and interact with local physicians as they exchange ideas and make contacts.
The NAMO's first overseas concert took place in the Dominican Republic on February 2019. Their effort brought positive influence into the lives of young children and students who had never heard the music of Bach, Mozart, or Beethoven before. It is NAMO’s doctrine of faith that music has a strong guidance power in the lives of the people.
We welcome musicians throughout the world who wish to share the same vision of sharing love through orchestral music performance and sharing time to make another person smile.
We highly value your interest, support, and active participation at the North American Medical Orchestra (NAMO)!
